Jennifer’s passion for sustainability has been demonstrated through her involvement with the United States Green Building Council. As a founding member, Education Director and former Vice President of the Central Florida Chapter of USGBC, Jennifer led the development of educational programs and initiated the creation of the David Gottfried Honorary Scholarship, awarded annually to a local student pursuing a sustainability-related career.
Jennifer also helped to found the Emerging Green Builders in Central Florida, which has grown to include individual chapters at nearby colleges and universities. Jennifer’s career began while pursuing a degree in Interior Design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, leading her to key design and sales roles in the office furniture industry. As a representative for a major office furniture manufacturer, Jennifer led business development and managed sales teams with clients such as Honda, Disney, Siemens and Lockheed.
Jennifer’s commitment to sustainability continues as President and Founder of BuyGreenFL, a web-based resource for sustainable information, products and services in the state of Florida. In addition to her business experience in design, sales and management, Jennifer brings a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership to her Executive Director position at the US Green Chamber. She speaks frequently on the business of sustainability and is committed to expanding the awareness of its benefits to the public and business sectors.
