We Are Proud to Welcome Irene M. Stillings, USGCC’s New President!
Today, the USGCC announced the appointment of Irene M. Stillings as its president. Stillings has over 35 years of energy industry experience and is the former executive director of the non-profit California Center for Sustainability Energy (CCSE), an organization devoted to creating a sustainable energy future, and through her leadership the CCSE became a statewide resource, growing from 7 to 90 employees providing educational, technical, financial services and energy programs to residents, businesses and municipalities in California.
“Irene brings a tremendous level of expertise to USGCC that will help further the Chamber’s mission and strenthen our core services, and as a team we can better serve our members’ interests,” said David Steel, CEO of the U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce. “Our focus has always been to empower businesses and communities to create environmentally friendly and sustainable business practices, and Irene’s leadership will be instrumental to our success as we continue to grow and evolve.”
As President, Stillings’ responsibilities will include formalizing the USGCC’s vision on energy initiatives, interfacing with key influencers, stakeholders and policymakers, as well asl eading the business community toward full participation in the green revolution…
