Swipes, Inc. is a female-owned, eco-friendly company located in Pompano Beach, Florida. It began in 2009 as a partnership between Maxine Gomez and Vera Lund. Both women have a passion for the environment and stand behind their product–Swipes Lovin Wipes®.
“Swipes Lovin Wipes® [are] an all-natural and eco-friendly personal hygiene wipe intended for adults to freshen up before and clean up after intimate moments,” says Gomez. “[They] are hypo-allergenic, free of alcohol, chlorine, and dyes…which makes them safe enough for use on the most sensitive areas on the body.”
Swipes Lovin Wipes® are safe for use all over the body and for all ages.
The wipes are packaged with 70% less plastic than many pop-top wipe dispensers and are made from 98% renewable resources.
Aside from their eco-friendly product and packaging, the duo makes an effort to be sustainable in the office, as well. They are as paperless as possible, using electronic pay stubs, bills, and invoicing. When paper does need to be used, said Gomez, they recycle it or shred it for use in packaging.
When asked why their company became a member of the US Green Chamber, Gomez said it seemed like a natural fit. “Because we are the owners, we get to pick and choose our events and the people we surround ourselves with, both personally and professionally. We believe, as members of the US Green Chamber, we are doing just that.”
