Meet the agents of the Downtown Orlando Real Estate Team, ThinkLiveBe Properties, who strive to run their business with an eco-friendly frame of mind. ThinkLiveBe Properties operates out of the Keller Williams Realty at the Parks office in Downtown Orlando. The team is led by Jeanette Dixon and Kathryn Stelljes. They created a team atmosphere to better serve their clients and offer them more services; such as short sales, home staging, education on investing, and consulting on “green” living.
Both agents believe there is an opportunity to educate consumers on how they can update older homes in an environmentally conscious way. Jeanette, who holds the green designation for real estate professionals called EcoBroker, recently installed solar panels on her own home.
“Last year, I made the move to install panels on the back of our roof line, upgraded my 15 year old water heater and installed the system. The result has been longer access to hot water and a decrease in our utilities bill by $50 a month. It was a green solution that also provides a green (money) result.”
Kathryn reiterated,
“As energy efficiency continues to be a driving force in the construction industry, we hope to build alliances with local resources to help our clients realize the full potential of their homes in our area. It is exciting to be able to share with clients how they can turn an existing home into one that offers energy efficiency and provides added resale value.”
