We asked Dave Man, The President of Patriot Roofing and Solar a few questions about the company:
Tell us a little bit about your company and what service do you provide to your customers.
Patriot Roofing and Solar has been in the roofing industry since 1995. Recently we added PV Solar to answer our customers’ energy needs and offer them an alternative natural solution. This combination makes perfect sense, as in the past, the challenge was that a typical solar integrator had no concern for the waterproofing of the roof. As a result, either the roof was being compromised, or the customer was paying another company to waterproof an inadequate installation. As a result, roofing and solar were a perfect marriage and through the support of Eagle Roofing and Eagle Solar, we had the partnership and leverage to create a very logical valued solution to PV customers. Since then, we have focused on energy efficient roofing envelopes and solar solutions that enable customers to maximize their return on investment unlike any way they could have before.
What are your thoughts on the role of Solar Energy in the upcoming years?
We believe that solar energy can only improve in the coming years, as the price of products continues to decrease. In addition, incentives like the 30% Federal Tax Credit is in place for five more years, the PACE program which allows the customer to finance through their property taxes should be available sooner than later, as well as a utility buyback program for unused generated PV power. All signs point up and this is the direction the city, state and federal governments agree with, which is typically the toughest battle to overcome when it comes to construction. I am extremely encouraged and excited about the future of solar energy!!
