Green Comes in Many Colors is a new future model for the way businesses should conduct themselves in the world. As a green business, their mission is to recycle items that would normally be burned or go into a landfills. But, they don’t stop there! They are providing dignified, good-paying jobs to women overseas that, otherwise, would have almost no way, or means to support their families. Green Comes in Many Colors has one-of-a-kind paper beads, handmade by these very talented artisans, and we now have the facility to offer these items for resale throughout the world.
Almost everyone agrees that “Going Green” is always the right choice for any company large or small. As the saying goes, “Think Globally Act Locally.” Green Comes in Many Colors not only embraces this strong, sound environmental criterion, but also puts it into practice every day. Green Comes in Many Colors works with printers and other suppliers who have unused paper (old and outdated brochures, guide maps, and various related types of papers) and reuses it to start the process of making our colorful beads. They collect and sort the various types of paper by color, texture, thickness, etc. and then send the paper on a journey to other countries to be transformed into beautiful beads.
Prior to the paper starting its journey, Green Comes in Many Colors works with US and overseas charities, which have contacts within their respective countries, to assist in locating talented women to train and employ. Once the contact is made, and they agree to follow the Fair Wage and Trade Standards, these very creative women begin rolling some of the most unique products you have ever seen.
Are you excited yet???…as they say…”wait there’s more!”
By Green Comes In Many Colors employing hundreds of these women throughout Africa, they now have the ability to buy food, clothing, and the other essentials that most of us take for granted. But, the story doesn’t stop there. Not only have these women lifted themselves and their family up out of poverty, they are also lifting others up, too. Each of them contributes some of their wages to improve life in the village for everyone. They put in wells so they have clean, pure water for all. They build schools to educate their children, so doors will open for them. The people of these villages now have many other opportunities that are literally lifting up the entire region.
These very talented artisans have designed and created beads and other products for Green Comes in Many Colors for distribution and sale for almost four years. Clients, companies and customers who buy and/or offer Green Comes In Many Colors products are becoming part of this incredible success story.
Being kind to the earth, proactively working to protect the environment, recycling items that otherwise would be burned or dumped in a land fill, lifting up entire villages and following a sustainable business model….They believe is the only way to do business on every level!
