A year ago today, BP’s Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, commencing months of what became the worst oil spill in US history. While BP is pledging millions to promote tourism in the area and cleaning up sludge on the Gulf’s beaches, businesses in the affected areas are still recovering.
