We are happy to announce that the founder and Chair of the U.S. Green Chamber is running for the City Council of Solana Beach, California. Peter Zahn is a business attorney and owner of Counsel Direct Law Offices, a full service business law firm in Solana Beach. Peter is eager to bring his experience and skill to the Council. “I think my 30 years’ experience as an attorney and business owner will assist the Solana Beach Council to deal with the many challenges the City will be facing,” says Peter.
Peter’s priorities are to ensure sensible, sustainable growth while encouraging a healthy business environment, enhance the quality of life in the Solana Beach, and ensure fiscal discipline and accountability for the City. “I understand what brings businesses to Solana Beach and the issues they face. With the skills and experience to stand up to powerful special interests, I will bring a business-minded voice to the Solana Beach City Council and work to protect the city’s finances and quality of life”, he says. Based on his frequent advocacy for the environment, and of the opportunity and responsibility for businesses to be environmentally sustainable, we are confident that he will make a positive difference in the City’s future.
In addition to his service on the U.S. Green Chamber, Peter sits on the San Diego Chamber’s Energy and Water Committee; he is also past Vice President and Board Member of the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce. Prior to starting his law practice, served as President of three companies, including a global technology business. He has also founded and advised several start-up companies.
